What to Expect…

First off, you can expect to have a great time as you travel along the Intracoastal Waterway!

The Intracoastal Waterway is protected from the elements, so your ride will be smooth and comfortable, even on a breezy day.

Board the Honu after checking in with the crew member at the gangway. Once on board, you’ll have time to explore the Honu prior to departure.

You may sit outside on the spacious flybridge or front deck; or retreat to the indoor climate-controlled levels for a relaxing drink

What should we bring?

Bring a light jacket or sweater, as it can sometimes be cooler on the water than on land. Wear comfortable shoes, as you will be exploring the boat thoroughly during your cruise. The sun is usually more intense on the water than on land, so be sure to include sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. You’ll want to remember every minute of your adventure, so remember to bring a camera to capture images of Florida as well as the million-dollar homes and yachts along the way.

Am I allowed to tip?

Yes. The crew loves what they do and endeavors to ensure you have an amazing cruise. Your generosity is most appreciated.

Can I bring children?

Absolutely! Honu Charters is a family friendly boat and all are welcome. Please remember, you are responsible for maintaining control of the little ones and for their general safety.

How far in advance should I make reservations?

For a large group, call us as soon as possible. Individuals and small groups should try to book within seven (7) days for our public cruises. Reservations are accepted up to two (2) days prior to sailing depending upon availability. We recommend calling as early as possible, especially for special cruises such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, July 4th, New Years Eve, and all other holidays.

Can I make reservations by phone and pay at the boat?

Payment is required in full at the time of the reservation. We accept most major credit cards and bank cards by phone

Will I get seasick?

It’s unlikely, as the Intracoastal Waterway and the Saint Lucie River are usually calm and experiences very minimal wave action.

I do not have a credit card. Can I make a reservation?

Special arrangements can be made for payment by cash or money order by calling (844) 386-4668 at least seven (7) days prior to sailing.

If my party is unable to make it or we miss the ship, will we receive a refund?

We are sorry, but all unused tickets are non-refundable.

Is smoking allowed?

There are designated smoking areas on-board. Please make sure to use an ashtray and do not throw your butts overboard. Also, please consider quitting.

Can I bring my pet?

Yes, but… We ask that you limit pets to certain tours as some of our tours are not as pet friendly as others. Please call us to discuss your needs.

Can I bring my own food and drinks on board?

Yes. While we have light snacks, water and sodas available at no additional charge, we encourage you to bring along a meal from your favorite local restaurant, a bottle of wine or your choice of other non-alcoholic and/or adult beverages.
